Both ovens have had to have repairs even though the oven is not even a month old. An oven working is a basic. I believe ignitors in the ovens were bad. The second repair will not take place until 1/6/26. I was fortunate not to have to host Christmas get togethers. To add to the my consternation, the repair plan was pushed.

We purchased this gas stove from Lowe's a few weeks ago, and am relatively happy with it. However, there is a minor issue: the letters/marks on the front knobs are "relatively" small. When standing in front of the stove, these letters are somewhat challenging to read, as the dials are stainless steel and the small letters are black, and very small. Perhaps if the dials were black or white, and the letters in contrast to the color of the dials, they would be easier to read. Also, when standing in front of the stove, stirring a pot or looking into it, one of the knobs inevitably gets pushed in, and the igniter starts to "spark". Apart from these two issues, we are pleased with the stove. Our first stove was the Maytag brand and lasted 20 years, it also used propane. I did the installation, and would recommend that if a stove is purchased for use with propane fuel that the propane tips be installed at the factory.

I bought this a month or so ago and the delivery went perfect......EXCEPT for the large dent in the side of the unit. The delivery personnel unwrapped the front of the unit to show it wasn't damaged, but the sides and back were still covered. The large dent does not affect the performance of the range however you wanted honest feedback so here it is. The dent is the only reason the rating is a 3 not a 5...

Comparable to our double over electric. Like gas cooking more, especially oven cooking - nothing gets dried out. Gas control knobs do turn if bumped accidentally in our case because of working on counter immediately next to stove.

Hinged Cast Iron Grates are junk

I bought this range less that one year ago. The hinged cast iron grates cracked. I am not the first person to complain about this. The range is nice but the cast iron grates are junk. I called to get a replacement part, which is under warranty but could not get the part because I could not provide the serial number. This is a gas stove, therefore I would need to hire a plumber to pull the range back from the wall to look up the Serial number. Absolutely ridiculous. I can order the part and pay $270, again ridiculous because it's less than a year old.

I had the electric version of this oven at my previous house and fell in love with the convenience of the double oven and built in features. When I moved into my new house the oven™€™s gas valve was defective. Rather than try to repair and clean it, I replaced it with the gas version of the one I had before. Whirlpool 30" Freestanding Gas Double Oven Range

I bought this oven in the fall of 2021 for our new home that we were building and approximately 9 months later while running the cleaning cycle on the top oven the whole control board melted and was so hot that we couldn't touch it and have not used the cleaning cycle since. I contacted Whirlpool several times via email and phone with no return phone call. Fast forward to approximately 2 weeks ago and the bottom oven has completely stopped working? I understand this is now out of warranty but the oven itself is a year and a half old and we are looking at having to replace it, we paid $1410.00 for this oven and its a LEMON. PLEASE RESPOND WHIRLPOOL, this is NOT good service. Thank you so much!

Control knobs on front are dangerous! Terrible if you have kids. Easy to walk by and turn knob to allow gas to escape. Oven heat is not even. We like the lift up grates on the burners. Makes it easy to clean. Oven exhaust comes up over the burners instead of venting straight up.

I have all appliances the builder provided us 2 years ago. My stackable washer /Dryer combo . The washer does not dispense soap or fabric softener . I bought extended care warranty for 4 years. Paid a lot if money for that .I called over a month ago and getting run around . 2 parts needed, they ordered it , then they said part received they will send to technician then after few days I called they said they have not received parts. We are age 83&73 going to laundromat to do laundry. My husband is very sick it™€™s hard for both of us to go out to do laundry.They don™€™t have parts they don™€™t manufacture parts, they rely on other companies to sell them parts, they don™€™t have technicians they sub contract to small companies to do the job. Such a big company Whirlpool they don™€™t have email address . I sent a letter by mail to their Mississauga office after receiving the letter they have not responded at all. Customer service they don™€™t know what they are talking about . WE NEED HELP TO GET OUR WASHING MACHINE FIXED. If you cannot get anyone to do the job please refund our money for certified extended care we paid over $1300 dollars. Please help! If Whirlpool is reading please call us .

The large left-front burner doesn't turn on easily; I have to shift the knob back and forth before the flame comes on. In the upper oven and when the door is open, the lower rack rests on the door when pulled out. Poor design. There is no room for fingers.

I ordered this oven 29th dec 2020. It finally arrived 8th March 2021. I stretched my budget for this oven and waited patiently for it. Today I was cooking and noted my pot was slanted. Upon further inspection I noted the grate was cracked over the largest burner. I called Goedekers and they said after 28days it wasn™€™t their problem™€¦ Whirlpool told me I was within my years warranty and their customer service were amazing!!! Whirlpool are sending replacement parts ASAP. But I think this is a design flaw, and warrants further investigation. I think the grate needs better welds or supports™€¦. Also looking at the reviews. I am not the only person with this issue. :(

Trying to get ahold of customer service has been terrible. The automated message does not direct you to a customer service represented. You just stay on a loop of questions forever with the automated voice rather than actually speaking to someone. I was so excited to get a whirlpool double oven! I had this picked out for months before we moved into our new home. We purchased from Lowe's and received our delivery more than 30 days before we moved in. Lowe's only has a 30 day return policy, so it was already void by the time we moved in and tried out the oven. The bottom oven door opens down completely to the floor. It rests on the floor. You have to squat or bend nearly to the floor to place retrieve your hot pan with possible moving hot liquids and lift it up all the while a hot oven door is lying on the ground. It is ergonomically and functionally unsafe. The top oven (which would be the preferable oven to use on a regular basis) is the smaller oven. If you have anything you want to bake with the rack on the lower rung, the rack is rubbing against the over door as you pull it out and attempt to push it back it. It is very difficult to do, and not functional at all. As I said earlier, our return window has closed at Lowe's, and getting ahold of customer service at whirlpool is nearly impossible. There are automated "live chats" or an automated phone messaging system that does not direct you to a real person easily. I did speak to one representative who me that Lowe's would honor my proof of residency when I moved in to my new build, rather than void the 30 days from purchase. This was not true. I have been back and forth on the the phone with Lowe's and Whirlpool. My problem is not solved. I am stuck with this awful oven. I am terribly disappointed with this whole experience, and I would not recommend this oven to anyone!

Loved at first, but not anymore!

We purchased this range in December 2019 and installed it in our remodeled kitchen in March 2020. This was the only thing I splurged on in our kitchen because I cook all the time and wanted at least five burners and 2 ovens. I loved it and it is a beautiful appliance that matches our kitchen perfectly, BUT the grates are now broken. I cook on this range at least twice a day, but have never used my huge stock pot on it yet. A couple weeks ago I noticed the left grate was broken in one spot and then this week I noticed the other grate was broken too! It is only a year old and already has problems. I have never had a problem with grates on any electric or gas range until I purchase a brand new one. I am so upset about this. Just using a regular pan or pot, the broken part of the grate is weighed down because there is no support in the middle. It's a very poor design with very bad quality material. Just from using the large burner most of the time, the screw under the left grate, in front of the large burner has lost its paint and the rubber gasket thing under it has wasted almost completely away. (I am including a picture of it with a picture of the screw on the right side for comparison). Also, this range will not start with a lighter when the electricity is out, which was a huge disappointment since that was the main reason I got a gas range...you can still cook without power. Well I was wrong, it's a new safety feature and I won't ever buy a range with this feature again. I take great care of my new range, cleaning it every day with a damp, soapy rag and baking soda. So, I am so mad that something so expensive (to me), that I take great care of, has already had so many problems. So, overall, I am extremely disappointed, actually, upset and regretful of this purchase.

My dream

I have waited years for a stove like this. The lower over is low, but I do not have a problem with this. The top oven cooks pizza and cookies to perfection. This is my first time using a convection oven. I do t think I will be able to go back.

Racks easy to move for cleaning

I purchased my gas range almost two months ago, love a lot of things about it, but. The knobs turn on too easily, I can lean over to reach a cabinet above the range and just brush the knob. It turns on and tries to ignite with gas . This is a bit unsettling, I don™€™t have children, but if I did I would have to find a way to get locks on them. Also lots of stains from some where when I cook, and it is not food stain either, just from the fire. Anyway, I love it. With my previous electric range, every time I baked a cake, it fell, my first baking experience with this oven was great, I have told everyone how great it is.

love the double oven

I bought this in October. It was delivered in November, perfect to practice before Christmas. It is an excellent stove. The double oven is so convenient. I am able to get two things done at the same time that require two different temperatures. I really appreciate the fact that it is made in the USA.

I bought an double gas oven in September. There were not a lot of options available and I needed an oven, so I spent double what I wanted to. This oven is junk! The igniter has issues. The back display area melted during normal use. It doesn™€™t cook evenly. I™€™m am disappointed to say the least. Replacement parts are on back order.
