I moved into a brand new house with a whirlpool double oven. I only used the top oven 3 times. After the third time I decided to use the self cleaning feature it says it has. Within 1 hour the glass in the oven door exploded and shattered all over my kitchen. The oven wasn™™t even 2 years old yet whirlpool refused to replace the door or pay what I had to replace it. Whirlpool should not advertise that their product is a self cleaning oven if it can™™t tolerate the heat. Very disheartening that you wouldn™™t stand behind your product!
I will never buy another whirlpool product and will tell my story to anyone who tells me they™™re looking for a new oven

One of the grate bars broke off when I simply lifted the grate by the bar! The grate bars need to be stronger.

I don™™t like the gas cooker. The grate cover above the cooktop is so hard to open. My husband can™™t open it either. I will have to contact whirlpool. Hopefully they don™™t charge a lot

This stovetop was provided to us in a newly built house. Used it a couple of times and it cooks evenly and is responsive to heat adjustments. The iron racks can be pushed upward and out if the way for easy clean up.

My new home came with an upgrade of whirlpool stainless steel appliances. The range has been one of the better appliances; however, the cast iron grates are difficult to clean and turned a grey color, and the knobs are cheap! The silver coating is like a bad tint job with bubbles and if you remove them to clean them good luck trying to get them back on.

This is the first gas stove top I have used. I always had electric. I find that I like it. I feel that the food actually cooks faster. I love the grill that can be easily lifted to clean. I am enjoying it!

While the burners work, I am very frustrated with the larger ones placed in the rear and smaller ones up front. I mainly use the larger ones and this configuration is not nearly as comfortable or practical for me. The iron grates lift to clean but easily shift off their hinge in the back making it difficult to hold them up and clean at the same time. Also the grates are misaligned. This was the builder supplied counter gas stovetop and one I would never have chosen.
We will likely replace it

I got this almost 4 weeks ago and from the first time I used it I noticed a malfunction on one of the igniters. The issue was fixed fairly quickly thanks to the builder's intervention, mine is a brand new home equipped with Whirlpool appliances. So the "stainless steel" surface has several spots (at least 3) that are rusty. Rust on a brand new appliance that's hardly been used 3 times is significantly disappointing to say the least. I am contemplating the next course of action but the product is not good and flawless like every other Whirlpool appliance I have and experienced before. I hope this is just a "bad luck" appliance thing I'm experiencing but no, I can't give you a positive review on this product..

The biggest burners are at the back which is not where I typically cook. Frustrating that if I want to cook faster I have to put the pot farther away from me which makes it hard to stir.

I bought his appliance and when it was unpackaged it was found to have one of the rubber feet broken off the bottom of the grate. I contacted Whirlpool and they immediately sent me a package of four rubber feet. The gas cook top is beautiful. Looks good in our kitchen. The burners light right away and run smoothly. It is a good unit.

The burners don't produce enough flame. You can only use 2 burners at a time, because the smaller ones are so close. It's difficult to tell which side of the knobs is the forward one, since they're rectangular and the only difference is a tiny black line.
I do like the ability to lift the grate for easy cleaning.

the burners light quickly & easily & burn with an evenly distributed flame. I'm easily able to clean stovetop with lifting grate & using Weiman wipes. I'm very happy with this stovetop.

Works well, wished the builder had provided a 5 burner model. The burners are offset at an angle rather than inline making it difficult to heat a grill evenly. like the ease of lifting the grates to clean.

If we cook with 2 pot side by side the handle get so heated we cannot even touch. very disappointed with this product from whirlpool

My cook top is full of scratches on the stainless steel and because I went past the thirty days you say it is out of warranty.
We closed on our home in December 4th but did not live in the home till January 15th and never cooked on this stove for another two weeks. It's hard for me to believe that you would install a damaged stove top and walk away , you quality is terrible. You should be ashamed to install it and walk away.

Do NOT buy this product. The gas does not distribute evenly, one of the largest burners won™™t even boil water when on high. The grate is already broken. Called the warranty department and they told me the manufacturer does not cover this and I need to buy a monthly extended coverage package for $35 a month.
Trust me, don™™t buy this product.

This cooktop was installed by the builder in our new house. We bought the house after it was completed and did not have a choice of appliances. The grate appears to be unsafe because some of our cooking pots and pans tilt when we are using them and we have to be extra careful when cooking that we do not get scalded or burned. As well, the burners sometimes are difficult to ignite. Overall, it is an okay cooktop - but I would probably get something different if I could.

I bought this appliance about 2 months and really happy about this cooktop. I have never doubted Whrilpool about quality and I am happy I and satisfied and no complains on the performance. The good thing about the cooktop is the distance between burner and the utensils. The only issue is the bottom of the some pans turn black as distance is more than usual for the metal grill and the low flames and pans.

builder gave this cooktop. i have been using since some time. but its mess. can not use more than 2 pots. knobs somehow are melting..burners are really too close together.. and higher BTU burners are back of the cooktop which is nightmare to use.
