i bought this a month ago and already had two home repair visits - neither have fixed the issues. the dryer takes a long time to dry. everything needs to be put on the highest setting. in addition it has a defect in its manufacturing and hair gets caught in the interior of the dryer drum and has to be manually pulled out with force by hand. maytag cannot repair either and getting through to them has been difficult and unproductive!

I am having the same issues with the dryer as another reviewer with the dryer sheet getting stuck under the filter. I just pulled out 3 sheets from the last three loads i did. Because of this issue, the clothes seem to be more wrinkled since the dryer sheet is not circulating while the clothes are drying. It is also very loud and the clothes sound like they are all clumped together and make a continuous thumping sound. I would like to know what can be done about the issue with the dryer sheet getting stuck.

I bought this just over a month ago so far so good dries clothes great very basic machine definitely large enough to handle large loads. The only issue I had was the smell of burn off hen first used, it smelled like wires burning. I have not ever had that order before with a new dryer so it prompted me to call to have it looked at. The gentleman that came out was very efficient and very nice. He even opened up the machine showed me the inside and assured me everything was fine. Now that the burn-off is gone there is no odor and the Machine is working great!!

The dryer is satisfying all my needs. Better for me on manual than the sensor cycles. Clothes don't always come out as expected on those cycles, but I may get used to using them appropriately. The door is very stiff to open and I would prefer a door that opens from top to bottom to form a little shelf for the clothes to land on, but that was not available in any of the Maytag models.

Over-all I like the dryer. I got the washer at the same time and I cannot standthe fact that the lid locks down preventing putting in the extra sock or towel that is omitted. Also hate not being able to place my detergent bottle in to rinse off after adding soap!

Great Dryer, Recommended by my Appliance Dealer

The first large load I dried was finished in 40 minutes, much faster than my old dryer. And the larger capacity is a great feature.

Replaced front loader which overflowedand flooded our second and first floor. So far we are extremely impressed. Back to basics Simplicity and huge capacity. Clothes are definitely cleaner and none of the front loader musty odor. Should have switched along time sgo

Bad design of lint filter

I bought this a few months ago I've notice how the dryer filter doesn't catch all the lint. If you look at it has openings where lint actually goes in and around this filter so I spend extra time cleaning inside below the filter where it does not go in filter. This could be a fire hazard after time. I'm so careful about cleaning after every load. You need to make a new filter with enclosed screen without the openings at the top.
