Biggest bust or being juiced by the repair company

We are on our 5th repair in one year, and we either received a lemon or are being juiced by Flamingo Appliance Repairs. If I could, I would smash this thing into a million pieces, as it™€™s a constant unknown if and when it will work. To add insult to it all, the design makes you take apart significant portions to try to repair something as simple as a fuse. It would get a one star, if I could l trust Flamingo was being honest, but we also have had two repairs on our washer, which is only a year old as well.

Awful! Buyer Beware

Awful dryer! Used 7 times and clothes were never dry! Have to re-dry each load 2-3 times. I even tried doing only 4 towels and still not drying. Everything is still slightly damp. And buyer beware.. Maytag return policy states if the product is used they won™€™t return it. How is the consumer to know the product is ineffective if they don™€™t use it? Also, warranty department stated only 1 service tech in my area (near Cleveland, Ohio) and he doesn™€™t work after 4pm. So I am supposed to take a day off work in order to get my 34 day old dryer repaired. Awful product, awful customer service (Heidi-Lead) and awful return policy.

Why Maytag Repairmen are not Busy

On 11/8/2023 my Maytag Dryer was delivered. On 1/2/2025 the heating element went out. I contacted Maytag service and was on hold for 2 hours before someone answered. My options were to pay $400 to have a Maytag repair man come out or $40 per month for a year warranty, which would cover the repair. I told them that neither of those options were acceptable because the dryer should last longer than 2 years and it is supposed to have a 10 year warranty. She said that she would transfer me to another customer service representative to see if there was anything else they could do. I was on hold for another 2 1/2 before I hung up. The washer and dryer I had is Metallic slate and hard to match so I ordered another one direct from Maytag because my dryer is no longer sold at the retailers like Home Depot, Best Buy etc... The dryer is supposed to arrive on 1/25/2026. I placed the order on 1/9/2025 and the order still indicates awaiting fulfillment as of 1/11/2025. I tried calling Maytag to confirm the order, but no one answers the line after waiting for over an 1 hour. If my dryer does not arrive from Maytag by 1/25/2026, I will try to sell my washer and dryer for whatever I can get and buy a new, white, LG washer and dryer. I have owned 3 Maytag washer/dryers and my parents and in-laws have also had Maytag and they have all lasted over 10 years. I am very disappointed in my recent experience and I will no longer buy Maytag . I know now why the repair man in the old Maytag commercials never had anything to do. No one answers the phone for Maytag service calls.

I dont believe the washers are there anymore. Dare I say, too many features for it to do its job. I bought the biggest tub out there only to find that the water saving feature on it, doesn't get the clothes wet enough to wash. The tub is not stable and is constantly off balance leading to it never unlocking.. constantly trying to fill up to spin out. Why do I need it to connect to wifi to wash clothes. I simply need it to do its job...wash clothes. Unfortunately no other options (other than another brand) for a more simple machine.

Uneven performance

This range has not performed up to expectations since we first purchased it. The oven will only come up to full temp in the an mode, it seems to be 25 - 50 degrees cooler than set temp. The heating element in the oven burned out and was replaced. Sometimes the burners will heat up quickly and sometimes they seem to run cold. Overall we are disappointed with this product.

I would not buy this machine again. The wash cycle takes over an hour. It is not user friendly and the manual tells you nothing about how the controls work or when you should use "deep fill".

Glad to have a Maytag for many reasons

The installers took care every step of the way. I need to mention they smelled gas from my newly installed heater. Thank you Maytag installers Peco came out and Horizon fixed the gas pipes properly (big nut in a 7" space? properly repositioned the gas pipes the second time around). I also like my new electric dryer, it heats fast.

This dryer works perfectly. It fit in a tight spot and the front loading door is easy to use. Don't have to worry about which way my washer door opens. It dry's out clothes fast and we are a family of 5. The extra boost of power really works.

Bought this dryer a month ago and we love it. It dries clothing very quickly (compared to our old dryer) and is very easy to use. I have not used the Extra Power feature yet - no need!

I don™€™t like that you have to clean the washer about every 30 days doesn™€™t give you warning until you put clothes in than they are wet than have to empty and run clean cycle

Awful washer and dryer I™€™ve ever bought

I bought this back in May not happy with it at all. Very loud does a lot of clicking noises sensing for a long time Does not put enough Water in the washer to even wash your clothes If you wanna wash an extra large load, you have to put very little clothes in the washer half the clothes are not wet . And when using hot water, the steam comes out the top of the lid of the washer, not seal tight at all it™€™s just not a good washer or dryer at all ™€¦very disappointed in Maytag. the same thing goes for the dryer, you have to dry the clothes two or three times for it to even dry Thoroughly

My rating has nothing to do with the operation of this appliance but with the design. WHY ARE THE TOP SURFACES DESIGNED WITH A SLANT??? A flat surface is much better for folding & stacking clean laundry. Things slide off with this design which was likely done for sleek looks but is not as functional as flat surfaces.

POOR QUALITY

It is too bad that I cannot give it negative stars. Purchased on 8.07.25. As of 9.16.2025 it has been completely torn apart twice in order to fix it. Still doesn't work. So 40 days after purchasing, it is a large paperweight with no firm idea when parts will be available or when it can be fixed. The company has offered $75 in compensation for my inconvenience but will not provide any extended warranty which Menard's offers for $270. After the repair person had to use a small sledge hammeron the second attempt at a repair, I have no confidence that this product, if ever fixed, will perform consistently or for any length of time.
